Triumph is not the cheering of the crowd, but the silence of the doubters. That’s what the MINI John Cooper Works learned, when it won the Rallye Monte Carlo back in 1964. People made jokes about the car’s first appearance in this legendary race. They even called it a tin can – until the tin car proved them wrong. We decided that success story should be told to the world. For this film original locations of the race were dressed like 1964 again and while we see racing history, we hear all the doubters in a massive sound cloud – until he crosses the finish line.
An earthquake within the racing world became 54 years later a very successful campaign that is awarded around the globe.

Heritage.
The hero film was the heart of the 360° JCW campaign. But key visuals and short clips where a big part of the whole package. We wanted to show the car in his natural habitat but bring it more into the here and now. Racing spots with heritage as an stage for mini thrill maximised.

MINI John Cooper Works GP3 Concept Car. A vision and the further telling of the story. Visually a tough nut to crack, as we had to shoot with the prototype and were therefore super strictly limited. But in the end you can't see it in the movie. Hard work, a lot of learning and a lot of fun.
